This application, developed for an iPhone and iPod Touch, puts our garden wildlife right into your pocket to help you identify common European insects of the Lepidoptera order.
How often have you and your kids stumbled upon some moth or butterfly in your house or garden and wondered what it is? 'Gardensafari Moths and Butterflies'is a comprehensive source of information that will answer your question. This app is unique in its kind because it contains over 160 stunning close-up photographs of professional quality of each species to help you with identification. The photographs and data are included within the application so there is no internet needed to access the information.

Features include:
- Photographs and information about each moth and butterfly species commonly found in gardens,
- Index of all species in alphabetical order,
- 12 high quality images that can be used as wallpaper for your iPhone device,
- all photographs show actual species in the field (no dead or pinned insects),
- a regularly updated Species of the Month accessible through the internet.

The first version of Gardensafari 'Moths and Butterflies' was released in August 2010. It can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store of your region. The new version of this application that includes new species and new features has been released on iTunes on March the 16th, 2011.
