Green Bottle (Lucilia caesar)

There are a lot of flies that do look like the true Greenbottle, such as Lucilia ampullacea, Gymnocheta viridis, Dasyphora cyanella and Orthellia cornicina. It is for this reason that we are not sure that all flies depicted on this page are Lucilia caesar indeed!
